Please help us in congratulating the Sacred Server Team and Sacred Server of the Month for November 2023.
We wanted to provide you an update on the search for our new home. We have looked and visited more properties in the past 6 months than in the previous years combined. This has allowed us to learn more about what is available and some of the challenges we must navigate. It has also helped focus our criteria in alignment with the strategic plan. The process has been eye-opening as well as faith building.
It is with a deep sense of gratitude and zeal that I share with you the wonderful news that we have found our new Associate Minister, Rev. Pamela Gutierrez.
With deep love and appreciation for his light in our world, we share the news that Rev. Bill Cameron made his peaceful transition on Sunday, June 18th. He was surrounded by his family, including his beautiful and adoring wife, Dori.
During our Sunday Services on Jan. 29, 2023, Rev. Ana shared with our community that, due to personal and family matters, she would be resigning from her position as Associate Minister at the end of February. We ask that you hold her and her family in your prayers.
This is your chance to show our commUNITY how talented you are with your emojis and understanding the 5 Unity Principles. (Plus win some prices including a $75 Amazon Gift Card). Keep reading to learn how...
Please be advised that on Sunday, January 29, 2023, there will be a marathon in the area where we hold our Sunday Celebrations. Above is a map of the marathon course so that you can plan ahead. We meet at Temple Israel located at 137 NE 19th St, Miami, FL 33137 (see the Unity blue logo on the map). It is outside the race path.
We are excited to welcome Deepak (and our attendees) next week for the official launch of his new book “Living in the Light”. No doubt it will be a spiritually transformative experience for us all. Today there has been an important change. The event venue will no longer be Barry University.
Unity YOUniversity kicked off at the beginning of 2022 with the sole purpose of evolving students spiritually. Students attended online from around the world - USA, Spain, Brazil and the Congo, learning and practicing spiritual principles and gaining a greater understanding of God, the Universe and themselves.
Every year The Miami Foundation sets out to better Miami by matching donations made to participating non-profits - that includes Unity on the Bay! This year you rocked it!
Each year at our gala, we honor and celebrate an individual, and organization, that we have seen align with the work and mission of Unity on the Bay.
Our community came together on Sunday, October 23, 2022 for a special Installation Ceremony and Service for Rev. Juan del Hierro new role at Senior Minister at Unity on the Bay.
Unity on the Bay is making a donation towards Hurricane Ian relief efforts. A portion of all donations received Sunday, Oct. 2nd, will be given to our partner, GEM (Global Empowerment Mission) - the same non-profit we made donations to for their efforts in Ukraine. Now, as we bring our attention to the Gulf Coast of Florida, they are on the ground helping those who are suffering due to the storm.
After almost 17 years as Unity on the Bay’s Senior Minister, Rev. Chris Jackson delivered his final Sunday Talk in front of nearly 300 guests on Sunday, September 25, 2022. He’s talk focused on five of the spiritual lessons he has found to be the most powerful during his time in ministry.
It’s been around five months since I first announced my retirement from field ministry and my role as your Senior Minister at Unity on the Bay. I now have only just a few months remaining before I make my move back to Kansas City, Missouri, to be with my family and explore the next chapter of my life. Time might just be a mental construct but it sure does seem real - and fast!
It’s with a heart full of gratitude that Unity on the Bay is tithing $100,000 to "Unity World Headquarters" to further their work in spreading the message of positive spirituality throughout the world. They have been a source of great spiritual nourishment to us throughout the years.
We had a blast seeing all of you at our Peace Picnic in the Park event on June 25, 2022! It was everything we had hoped for - food, fun, sun and fellowship with our community. It's really the people who make our community amazing!
We are thrilled and grateful to officially welcome our new Associate Minister, Rev. Ana Quintana! You may recall she was our guest speaker on Sunday, April 3, 2022
We mourn the lives lost due to recent gun violence, including the Texas school shooting today. Let us hold in prayer all those affected, including those who lost loved ones and those who will tell their children why they hug them a bit tighter tonight. Let us recommit to being a source of prayerful action in the world, remembering and living our Oneness.
On Thursday, March 31, 2022, our Members gathered for our Annual Membership Meeting both in person in Miami and online. Above is the video from the full meeting.
As I continued to remain open to guidance, it became clear to me that it was time for me to retire from field ministry effective October 31, 2022.
This decision, coupled with the impact of Covid-19 on my personal value system, has led me to make plans to return to my home town of Kansas City, Missouri, and explore the next chapter of my life. Yes, it will be colder! Yet it will also find me in the warm embrace of my family. In the midst of the winter months later this year, I am looking forward to completing and publishing the book that’s been on my mind and in my heart for the past 30 years.
We continue to monitor guidance from the CDC and update our COVID-19 Safety Protocols accordingly. Our latest update is Feb. 18, 2022.
With the holiday season quickly approaching and knowing that most of you will be busy celebrating and preparing (as will we!), we didn’t want to wait to update you on some exciting and important things that are happening at your spiritual community.
It’s been anything but a lazy summer at Unity on the Bay. In June, we shared the news that Unity on the Bay contracted a consultant to work on the development of a new strategic plan. Over the past few months, she has started the planning process conducting one-on-ones and focus groups with our community as well as reviewing previous work, research and surveys.
On August 7, 2021 Unity on the Bay filled the gap for families and individuals who are struggling to make ends meet in Miami. Through the help of #FarmShareFL we hosted a drive-thru food distribution to give away around 500 boxes of groceries.
We are excited to announce that we have decided to make some significant changes to our COVID-19 safety protocols following the newest guidance offered by the CDC (Centers for Disease Control).
