Important Update from Rev. Chris and Eddie

These are exciting times at Unity on the Bay!

With the holiday season quickly approaching and knowing that most of you will be busy celebrating and preparing (as will we!), we didn’t want to wait to update you on some exciting and important things that are happening at your spiritual community.

The search for a site for our new home continues and can truly begin in earnest and with confidence after we have achieved an important milestone – the creation of a 5-year strategic plan for Unity on the Bay.

The strategic plan is a process that took months and included feedback at every level of our community. This plan will inform our search for a new home that is suitable for our collective vision and will help ensure that we select a property that reflects and supports our long-term future.

Thank you to all those who have contributed.

While the strategic plan has been unfolding, we have been looking for property. And while the inventory of properties that would meet our needs is limited, we are confident and affirm that the right and perfect future home will soon reveal itself.

Our new 5-year strategic plan will be summarized during Sunday Celebrations on November 21, followed by a Q&A session and lunch after the 11:15 AM Celebration. We request your attendance. Just let us know you are coming by RSVPing HERE. If you can’t attend, no worries. Over the next few weeks we will be updating our website and sending email communications so that you are well informed.

We’ve also been busy doing a comprehensive review of our current bylaws to ensure they support our community’s future. After months of work, we expect the new bylaws will be presented for approval at a membership meeting by early next year.

And lastly, we wanted to update you regarding our staff. Our search for a new Director of Business Operations continues. The Board of Trustees has also approved two additional positions: another full-time Associate Minister and a part-time Digital Marketing Coordinator. These new positions are intended to support the unfoldment of key elements of our strategic plan.

In the midst of all this activity and possibility, we want to pause to express our immense appreciation for your support of Unity on the Bay. Your spiritual and financial support throughout the year touches our hearts and makes it possible for our community to be present for all those who are seeking greater spiritual awareness. Thank you!

In the past couple of years, we’ve learned first-hand that Unity on the Bay is more than a physical facility – even more than our inspiring Sunday gatherings. We are a powerful assembly of spiritually-dedicated souls, committed to making positive differences in our own lives, the lives of those we love, and the world. Thank you for staying the course with us as we continue moving forward in faith.

In spiritual Unity,

Rev. Chris Jackson
Senior Minister

Eddie Dominguez
President, Board of Trustees
