Surprise giveaways in the room each sunday ❤️

For the fall season, we are thrilled to kick off “The Great Thanks & Giving” on Sunday, November 12…a combination of Sunday Celebration topics, surprise GIVEaways, a community-wide volunteer project, and more!

All this to inspire each of us to practice more gratitude and generosity as part of our spiritual living. There is no better way to know God than to emulate what we know God to be. This is how we embody our own Christ nature more fully, and step into true abundant spiritual living.

For three consecutive Sunday Celebrations (starting Nov. 12) we will learn more about why generosity and gratitude are so very important in our day-to-day practice of spiritual living. We’ll cover the main channels of giving….treasure, time and talent..and then you get to decide what will you leave on the table?

The table? Yes, the table. If you are joining us in person on Sunday Nov. 19, you’ll have a chance to participate in our “give one, take one” table. You’ll be asked to bring with you something you are attached to (something you value) and you’ll faithfully let it go by leaving it on a table we have setup. You then have a chance to take with you another item on the table. Will God replace it with something equal or better for you? There is only one way to know for sure…

  • Speaker: Rev. Juan del Hierro, Senior Minister

What does it mean to give your treasure and why can it make all the difference in the world? We’ll kick-off The Great Thanks and Giving with possibly the hardest thing to give away…for some people.

  • Guest Speaker: Rev. Dr. Anna Price

Time is a limited resource and giving it away can be very hard. This Sunday we’ll look at what it means to give your time and why it doesn’t just benefit the receiver.

    About Rev. Dr. Anna Price

She refers to herself as a life-long learner with a personal mission “to use her gifts and talents to teach and model for people that there is no limitation to what they can achieve when they are working on purpose, in their passion, and in integrity-without hurting anyone.”

She has a long list of accomplishments and honors which are beyond honorable and impressive. Some highlights are:

    • She is the recipient of the Nelson Mandela Award, presented by the Black Law Students Association of the University of Miami.

    • The American Bible Society presented her with the “Scholarly Achievement Award”

She was the first “Universal Foundation for Better Living” minister to be speaking at Unity on the Bay in many decades when she first was a guest speaking with us in 2023.

Universal Foundation for Better Living is inspired by Unity, it is part of the New Thought family, and was founded by the late Rev. Johnnie Coleman who was a pioneering Black Unity Minister.

  • Speaker: Rev. Pam Gutierrez, Associate Minister

We’ll wrap up with the giving of talent. We all have our God-given talents. Are they meant to be shared? Yes! Find out why this Sunday.

As part of our Great Give & Thanks, we are once again donating $10,000 to Branches in Miami. This money helps to buy the food they need for their Thanksgiving Food Drive. ❤️ Here’s how you can give back…as a community we are volunteering on Thanksgiving day (Nov. 23) to help Branches prepare this food and deliver it to families in financial hardship. You can choose to either prepare food or deliver it in the Miami-Dade County area.
