In our Youth and Family Ministry, your kid(s) will learn about (and practice) positive spiritual living with our coordinator, Raul Hernandez. The Ministry offers Sunday Kidz Zones, and special classes, workshops and events which are listed on the calendar below. Take the next step in your kid’s spiritual evolution and get them involved in our Youth and Family Ministry.

Kidz Zone every Sunday
9:30am & 11:15am
This special time together every Sunday includes prayer time, singing together, a themed class, sometimes a video to share, and other times an arts & craft moment. It will just be a spiritual time with the children and parents can join in too! We welcome children from 3 y/o to 18 y/o.
Kidz Zone takes place at the same time as our Sunday Celebrations so we encourage all parents to come get their own time of spiritual inspiration while children are in the Kidz Zone.
MEET RAUL HERNANDEZ, CSE
MINISTRY COORDINATOR
Our Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator, Raul Hernandez, has been growing the spiritual consciousness of our Unity youth and teens since 2016. He provides a safe place for all Children, Teens and their families to be filled with love and acceptance; a place all can recognize their oneness with God. He recognizes that there are many expressions of a family life and embraces them all. He creates a safe haven, an environment that fosters in our youth a positive self-image, personal responsibility, and unconditional love and acceptance.
He is CSE Certified which is a spiritual course of study and certification that provides a consistent foundational base of knowledge and skills necessary for effectual and ethical excellence in Unity youth and family classroom/community ministry. CSE Certified individuals help build confidence and understands children's behavior and the beauty of the different families that are so important in our community.

Raul’s Mission: I love working with and on behalf of our children and their families. I love the authenticity, creativity, and enthusiasm of young people! They are full of possibilities and true potential! They are not only our future, they are the "NOW".. I believe that young people deserve the same level of consideration and respect that we give to adults. We are all the Spirit of Christ and create the World that God knows we are.
My Goal: Raul’s goal is to bring Unity’s practical spirituality to life in many creative ways with true ways to put them into action for students of all ages.
On Being a Role Model: I like to continue to learn and grow myself. I became a Unity Worldwide Ministries Certified Spiritual Educator in 2021 and now I plan to continue my growth as a student of Unity Principles as well as embracing ministry for our community. Raul has been a staff member at Unity on the Bay since 2016, while also serving on several teams, like Prayer Chaplain just to name a few, etc...

Loving Spirit, Source of all wisdom, love and joy, we call forth from our hearts the courage to create a world which brings forth the best and! highest for our children. A world which is safe, so they may know the joy of laughter and the power of lave. To feel the creative energy of the Universe flow through their open & receptive hearts, minds & bodies. We call upon the highest and best within ourselves to love all children, to recognize and seize the opportunity to be a positive example.
We enfold all children in the love of God.

VOLUNTEERING
Volunteers are the mainstay of the Youth & Family Ministry. Other than our Part-time Youth & Family Ministry Coordinator, the entire program is run by our volunteers, our Family Ministry Sacred Servers. All of our facilitators and youth sponsors are dedicated and trained. They are of Unity on the Bay for Unity on the Bay. All classroom facilitators and sponsors have passed national criminal background and reference checking. We provide monthly meetings and trainings for our volunteers.
