Honor Kwanzaa
During Kwanzaa (Dec. 26 - Jan. 1) we will be focusing one of its principles each day. “Kwanzaa celebrates family, community, culture, and heritage.” Dr. Maulana Karenga created the seven-day holiday in 1966 to restore “the best of African thought and practice”.
Check out more information about Kwanzaa, and watch some wonderful videos we created for each of the days/principles of Kwanzaa.

Recognizing Black Native Americans in honor of Native American Heritage Month (November)
We honor and celebrate Native American Heritage Month. The fight of Black Native Americans to be recognized as Native Americans is often challenged by those in power who primarily choose which groups will be included and/or excluded, a struggle revealing almost as much about society as the groups' identities themselves.
Racial Justice Ministry joins Angels Everywhere's Thanksgiving Drive
The Racial Justice Ministry is partnering with Angels Everywhere and Branches to provide a Thanksgiving Feast to people who may need our support this year. We've chosen the Lakeview location (just west of North Miami), which will be providing 1200 meals, mainly to the Haitian community. This not only provides an opportunity to come together, but to do so knowing that we will be supporting an often overlooked community, especially in light of the way Haitians have been discriminated against.
Unity World Headquarters acknowledges pain of racial discrimination within our movement
Unity on the Bay is grateful for the leadership of Unity World Headquarters as they acknowledge the pain our racial past created for many in our movement, and celebrate the steps that have been taken to live more fully into our principles of Oneness and unity.
UWH recently wrote an article that acknowledges the mistakes, apologizes for the hurt and brings light to the ongoing efforts of diversity, equity and inclusion.
